Cauthon brings 17 years of experience to her new role

(BEND, Ore.) — SELCO Community Credit Union recently promoted Cheryl Cauthon to branch manager for SELCO’s new West Bend location as well as its Old Mill branch. In this role, Cauthon will oversee all day-to-day operations at the West Bend branch, which is located at 137 SW Century Drive, and Old Mill branch, located at 88 SW Scalehouse Loop.

Cauthon joined SELCO in 2012 as an underwriter, and ascended the ranks at SELCO’s Loan Center. She moved to Bend in 2016 to serve as assistant branch manager for the East Bend branch, where she oversaw general branch operations, including employee development and hiring. Most recently, Cauthon was assistant branch manager at the Old Mill branch before being promoted in January 2018.

“We are delighted to have Cheryl leading our efforts at Old Mill and SELCO’s new West Bend branch,” said Tiffany Washington, senior vice president of Finance & Member Solutions at SELCO. “Cheryl is an experienced leader dedicated to the community and excited about strengthening SELCO’s presence in Central Oregon. At the West Bend branch, she and her team are committed to creating a unique and exceptional experience for current and future members.”

Cauthon was born in Lakeview, Oregon, and lived in the Eugene-Springfield area until relocating to Bend in 2016. In addition to her duties at SELCO, Cauthon serves on the board for the Central Oregon Chapter of Credit Unions. She will also be project manager for SELCO’s new sponsorship of the Pole Pedal Paddle.
