  1. When did you join SELCO Insurance Services, and what does your role entail?

Jenna: I joined the SELCO team in August 2019 and am so grateful to be a part of this community. I am a Personal and Commercial Lines Specialist, meaning I can help you with all your insurance needs. Whether it be auto, home, business or life insurance, I am here to help!

  2. The COVID-19 pandemic was top of mind for a couple years. And as we all know, these types of situations have a significant trickle-down effect—and that includes insurance. How di SELCO Insurance Services help its clients during this crisis?

Jenna: We worked diligently to ease the pain of having to decide between putting food on your table for your family or paying your insurance premium. I feel like this is a “no brainer” for most families. Thankfully all of our carriers understood that this is a very sensitive topic and they stepped up to the plate when it came to deferring monthly payments and even crediting back a percentage of customers premiums in order to ease some of the uncertainty of household income at this time.

  3. We touched on agribusiness insurance in the spring newsletter. You know a thing or two about this arena after working on your father’s ranch growing up. Can you explain some of the unique insurance needs that farm and ranch owners carry?

Jenna: Farming and ranching is near and dear to my heart, as you said. I grew up on a 360-acre farm in Sisters, Oregon. One thing that is great about a farm/ranch policy is that everything is bundled into one premium/policy. Your home on the property, living quarters for employees, machinery, autos, and your livestock or products. All the things you need covered wrapped up into one pretty package!

  4. If you had to pick just one misconception about commercial business insurance, what would it be?

Jenna: The misconception is that it’s expensive. This is inaccurate in most cases. Commercial insurance is based on your “sales income or gross revenue.” So, when small-business owners are just starting out, they aren’t blindsided by premiums because they can only estimate their income.

  5. Finally, tell us something that people may not know about you.

Jenna: I’m a pretty open book. … One thing is that I am an aunty to three (soon to be four) kiddos and a godmother to three more. This is something that I am so thankful for! I just love them to pieces!
