We love our members, and we’d like to have more members like you. With Refer-a Friend, you can invite friends and family you think would benefit from SELCO’s products and services. When they open a checking account or loan, you both win with an extra money in your pockets.
You (referring member):
That’s it. Grab a new code for each individual you want to refer. There’s no limit.
Friend or family member (referred member):
Once you’re a member, you can continue to earn by referring your own friends and family.
*Disclosure
Participation in SELCO’s Refer-a-Friend Program (the “program”) constitutes agreement to these disclosures, SELCO’s Membership and Account Agreement, and all applicable rate, fee, and account disclosures provided at account opening or otherwise provided by SELCO.
To refer a friend, you must be a current SELCO member in good standing, at least eighteen (18) years of age, and hold a personal account with SELCO. There is no limit to the number of referrals an eligible referring member may make. “Good standing” means your account is not overdrawn or subject to any legal restraint and you are not past due on any obligation owed to SELCO.
To qualify as a referred friend, you must be eligible for SELCO membership, be at least eighteen (18) years of age, and open a new personal membership account plus a checking account or loan as the primary account holder. Each individual is eligible to receive only one (1) referred‑friend payout over the individual’s lifetime. Current primary or joint owners on any existing SELCO account or individuals that have closed a SELCO account within thirty (30) days are not eligible for referral.
After the referred friend has successfully opened qualifying accounts, the payouts will be deposited into each participating individual’s checking account or, if no checking account exists, into the membership savings accounts. Due to the nature of the program, referring members will know whether a referred friend has joined SELCO and opened qualifying accounts.
Referral payouts are considered “bonuses” and may be reported to the Internal Revenue Service on Form 1099 or another applicable tax reporting form. Each recipient is solely responsible for any federal, state, or local tax obligations arising from receipt of a referral payout.
The Program is open only to natural persons acting on their own behalf. SELCO employees are not eligible to participate as either referring members or referred friends. Ineligible members and accounts also include businesses, trusts, estates, custodial or UTMA accounts, conservatorship accounts, community donation accounts, and similar fiduciary or entity-held accounts. SELCO reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to further restrict participation in the Program. The Program may not be combined with other SELCO promotional offers unless expressly permitted by SELCO. Self-referrals, fraudulent conduct, misuse of referral tools, or abuse of referral codes are prohibited. SELCO reserves the right to modify any aspects of the program and to suspend or terminate the Program, in whole or in part, at any time and without prior notice. All determinations made by SELCO regarding eligibility, fulfillment, and payout under the Program are final and binding.
