Apr 18, 2017—SELCO Community Credit Union Receives Two Diamond Awards for Outstanding Marketing and Business Development Achievements

Awards received for SELCO's Brand Awareness Campaign and Educational QuickTips Video Series

(EUGENE, Ore.) — SELCO Community Credit Union was recently honored with two Diamond Awards — including a Category’s Best award. Diamond awards recognize outstanding marketing and business development achievements in the credit union industry.

SELCO Community Credit Union won Category’s Best in Brand Awareness for its “Good Life Goal” campaign. The campaign features story vignettes of Oregonians from various walks of life, their goals, and ways SELCO can help achieve them. The campaign includes print, digital, radio, and television ads, along with social media. The campaign was developed in partnership with DVA Advertising & Public Relations in Bend, Oregon.

SELCO’s QuickTips educational video series also received a Diamond Award. QuickTips are short, informative videos available on SELCO’s website. Topics range from buying your first car, credit 101, and traveling smarter and safer.

“The credit union industry has no shortage of marketing and business development talent, but as the name of the prize suggests, these professionals shine the brightest,” said Amber Scott, Chair of the Credit Union National Association Marketing & Business Development Council’s Diamond Awards Committee and VP Marketing & Communications at 1st MidAmerica Credit Union. “Bold, inventive, and fearless in the face of uncertainty, the 2017 Diamond Award winners inspire us to aim higher and try new approaches.”

The awards were presented by the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council, a national network comprised of over 1,200 credit union marketing and business development professionals. Awards are given in each of 30 categories, ranging from advertising to community events and beyond.

Award winners were recognized at the council’s 24th annual conference held March 29-April 1 in San Antonio, Texas.
