Courtesy Pay Program
Also known as an overdraft, Courtesy Pay* is a service SELCO provides its members that covers their debit transactions even if they do not have enough money in their checking account to cover the purchase.
You are not required to sign up (also known as opting in) for SELCO’s Courtesy Pay program to cover checks and other transactions using your checking account information, such as ACH and recurring Checkcard transactions. You will need to opt in to authorize SELCO to cover your ATM and everyday debit card transactions when you do not have enough money in your account. This valuable service may help you in case of financial emergencies and unexpected out-of-town expenses. This service may prevent the embarrassment of an ATM or everyday debit card transaction being declined, also providing you with greater flexibility in managing your money. The only time you pay a fee for this service is when your account is overdrawn.
* Courtesy Pay is a discretionary service and we reserve the right not to pay your overdraft. For example, we typically do not pay overdrafts if your account is not in good standing, or you are not making regular deposits, or you have too many overdrafts. Your Courtesy Pay balance must be paid in full, as soon as possible. Each Courtesy Pay transaction will be assessed a fee as shown in the SELCO Rate & Fee Schedule.
