SELCO
Community Credit Union is a not-for-profit consumer cooperative that was established
in 1936 when local school teachers and school employees pooled their funds together
in a shoe box to offer each other loans in times of need.
For
more than 70 years, SELCO Community Credit Union has worked to develop life-long
relationships with our members. We realize how important credit unions are to
the economic success of not only individuals but entire communities.
With a network of branch
offices located throughout western and central Oregon, SELCO
provides service to more than 80,000 members locally, nationally
and worldwide. We now serve six counties in Oregon, including Lane, Deschutes,
Linn, Benton, Marion and Polk counties.
Our members count on us for any-time, any-where access to their accounts through
a variety of convenient, no-cost account
services, including online
banking, phone
banking, online loans, bill
payment, electronic statements, no-surcharge
ATMs, and much more.
COMMUNITY FIRST.
SELCO has always believed in the power of “People Helping People,” and our staff continually works to bring these words to life!
To underscore our dedication to the community we created a Department of Community Involvement. This team explores community need and provides the leadership to partner with others to develop creative solutions.

HOW
WE WORK FOR YOU.
SELCO is owned
by its members. When you join, you become an owner, and as an owner you're entitled
to the best service we can offer. Members elect volunteer directors to oversee
the management and development of the credit union. The elected Board of Directors
appoints an independent Supervisory Committee to ensure that the credit union
operates at the highest professional standard.
Become
a Member
To
join, each member completes a membership application and pays a $5 membership
fee and opens a Share (Savings) Account with a minimum deposit of $5. The $5
represents a share of ownership in SELCO and it gives you a voice in how the
Credit Union is run ... regardless of how much money you have in the credit union.
Each member is always treated with dignity and respect. After all, you own part
of the credit union.
